Are you interested in gaining community service experience and learning more about the values and function of nonprofit organizations in Columbus? The Office of Student Life’s Semester of Service program is now accepting applications for the Autumn 2023 semester. SoS is a semester-long commitment where interested students are matched with a community partner, where they serve on an ongoing basis throughout the course of an academic semester. Students are expected to serve at least one 3-5 hour long volunteer shift per week. Additionally, students will participate in at least three professional development sessions to help them grow as servant leaders in the Columbus community. All Ohio State students on the Columbus campus are welcome to apply for this opportunity. Additionally, multiple students can apply to serve together at the same service site, making it a great way to build relationships while serving the community.
