BUCKEYECON

If you've ever been to a ComicCon or other fandom convention, then you don’t want to miss BUCKEYECON! This immersive entertainment experience is something you’ll want to be there for!

We will have a multi-venue event with a little bit of something for everyone! 

In the Performance Hall (Ohio Union, 1st floor) from 12-1pm, check out Extra Lives, a choose your own adventure game where you are the main character. This activity contains a live band performance all in the tune of your favorite classic video games. Want to get a preview of what to expect? Check out this Extra Lives video to get a sneak peak!

In the Archie Griffin East Ballroom (Ohio Union, 2nd floor) from 12-6pm, we will have our Expo Room, featuring gaming, virtual reality, tabletop games, photo booth and so much more! Also, catch some of our featured student organizations including Star Wars Club, The Happiest Club on Earth, 8-Bit Gaming, Esports, and Comic Club.

If speakers are more your speed, check out the West Ballroom for our (3) featured speakers from across the industry:

  • 1:00 PM - Lisa Lovaas, Costume Designer (Planet of the Apes, AVATAR, Black Widow)
  • 3:00 PM - Dante Basco, Actor and Voice Actor (Hook, Avatar: The Last Airbender, American Dragon: Jake Long)
  • 5:00 PM - Joaquim Dos Santos, Director and Storyboarder (Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, Teen Titans, Avatar: The Last Airbender)

Each of our speakers will also be signing headshots for fans so make sure to stick around following their conversation for your chance to meet the speaker and grab a headshot for yourself!

To close out the day, swing back to the Performance Hall from 6-9pm we will have Anime Party presented by Glotaku!
