Asian Pacific Islander Desi Americans (APIDA) are often perceived as existing in the “in-between” when it comes to non-White populations. They are considered neither POCs nor White, neither mainstreamed nor marginalized. As a result, harmful ideas and assumptions surrounding Blackness have long been perpetuated within APIDA communities. Join us in learning a brief history on anti-Blackness in APIDA communities, and action steps that you can take to start disrupting and challenging this prejudice.
