Time: Wednesday, October 18, 2017 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM

Location: Saxbe Auditorium in Drinko Hall

The Pro Bono Research Group will screen “Bottom Dollars” on Wednesday October 18, 2017 at Saxbe Auditorium in Drinko Hall. Doors open at 5pm with the screening beginning at 6pm. A brief panel discussion will immediately follow the one hour documentary. Panelists include: Jordan Melograna (Director of "Bottom Dollars"), Cheryl Bates-Harris (from the National Disability Rights Network), Professor Ruth Colker (from Moritz College of Law), Kerstin Sjoberg-Witt (from Disability Rights Ohio), and Derek & Sheri Hunter (from the Two Foundation). “Bottom Dollars” exposes the exploitation of people with disabilities through personal stories and expert interviews. It also presents clear employment alternatives with competitive wages and community inclusion.

Come join us for a viewing of this important film and a discussion of the issue of disability rights and what we can do to improve them. The Pro Bono Research Group will be providing movie theater themed refreshments for the screening. This event is co-sponsored by: the Moritz chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union and the Black Law Students Association.
