Ohio Union Event Requests

We are excited to host your event at the Ohio Union! It’s easy to find the right space for your needs with 34 unique event and meeting spaces that range in size to be perfect for small gatherings or large enough to accommodate up to 2,000 people. Most of our rooms are flexible and can be set up in banquet, theater or classroom style to best suit your needs. We have a wonderful on-site caterer and events team that strive to provide you with an extraordinary experience.

Reservations for events and meetings in the Ohio Union can be submitted for consideration in several ways:

  • Online: You can submit a request to reserve space online using the Reservation Web App
     
    Please note: the online scheduling system does not allow you to book our two largest event spaces: Archie M. Griffin Grand Ballroom (East & West) and Performance Hall/Potter Plaza. To submit a request for these spaces, email us at ohiounionevents@osu.edu or call us at (614) 292-5200 to speak with a member of our Sales and Events Team.

Outdoor Space
To submit a request for outdoor space, use the Buckeye Event Network (BEN) at www.ben.osu.edu. For help using BEN, view the BEN user guide.

Student Organization Meeting Space
The first day to submit requests in the Ohio Union for student organization recurring meetings is as follows:
For Summer Term: Jan. 15
For Fall Semester: May 15
For Spring Semester: Sept. 15

Student organizations may now submit requests for Spring Semester meeting space in the Ohio Union. Student organizations may submit requests for Summer Semester meeting space in the Ohio Union starting January 15, 2018 at 8 a.m.  Meeting space requests can be submitted online (our preferred method), in person or by phone. Students can request an online user account using the Reservation Web App. Students must be listed on the organization's roster, and submit a request as a web user, at least two weeks prior to the first date for reservation requests (see above) in order for the web user to be processed in time to request space.

Event Staff
Once your space is reserved, the Ohio Union event planning team is ready to assist you in planning your event. With food, music, entertainment, parking and more, the event planning coordinators strive to make every event held at the Union outstanding. Furthermore, our event production and student staff will be available the day of the event to address any last minute needs or final details. We look forward to seeing you and your guests in our building!
