Time: Saturday, October 21, 2017 6:00 PM - 12:00 AM
Location: Short North Arts District
Founded in 2008, HighBall has become one of the most anticipated events in the nation for the Halloween season. Taking place in the Short North Arts District on High Street, HighBall began as a one-night event centered around the signature Costume Couture Fashion Show, where teams of local designers compete for the top spot and a cash prize. The festivities continued with a street party, live art, electrifying stage performances, and a public costume contest.
HighBall grew with both local and national attention from publications such as The Columbus Dispatch, Columbus Business First, Columbus alive!, The Toronto Sun, and Columbus Underground. In 2013, FOX News called HighBall “the single most elaborate Halloween event in the country.”
Returning this year will be the costumed HighBall Runway Run, Public Costume Contest, and more. On Saturday night, HighBall with culminate with top-of-the-heap teams of designers who will compete with both ready-to-wear looks and fantasy costumes in the Costume Couture Fashion Show. A mashup of Carnivale, Mardi Gras, Day of the Dead, Halloween and a New York runway show! Really.
