Statement of Purpose
The Latina/o Graduate & Professional Student Association (LGPSA) formerly recognized as Hispanic Graduate Organization (HGO) is the oldest Hispanic organization on campus; we have been here for over a decade! LGPSA was created for you, Latino and Latina graduate and professional students, as a means of promoting personal and professional development, provide support and assistance in the goal of academic success OSU. Simultaneously, LGPSA is committed to promote and facilitate social and cultural awareness and activities according to the needs of its members by providing coordinating services, program and activities for students and academic community.
Our main goal is to provide social activities and gatherings that give students the opportunity to interact with Latino and Latina students. Our activities include but are not limited to movie-nights, quarterly trips, and faculty presentations. We are also committed to providing students with outreach opportunities both within the university community and beyond.
