What makes your website outstanding?
The website presents the visual identity of the Lebanese Student Organization at OSU, a very young and emerging ethnic/cultural organization. The design is eye-catching and involves the use of graphics to engage the user in a dynamic experience.
The logo is a grin-inducing typographic reference to the organization's initials in the form of the national symbol of Lebanon, the Cedar, bordered by the scarlet stripes with an OSU logo imprint.
The rotating panoramic composition of archeological and touristic sites is a stark reminder of the wealth of Lebanese history and culture. Information about each site can be readily acquired using links to popular online resources (such as Wikipedia and Google Maps) by simply clicking the site's name.
Furthermore, the different sections of the menu are clear and describe briefly what LSO presents, offers, and plans. Visitors can browse the menu and are presented with minimal but to-the-point information, with more information just a click away.
Coupled with an active Facebook page and an extensive listserv mailing list as well as an archived-communication blog, the executive committee is very much in touch with members and friends.
The website also provides visitors with active ways to donate through Paypal and e-malls.
