Feasibility Study Overview
(25.6 K)

The feasibility study completed in 2003 was one of four feasibility studies conducted on the Ohio Union throughout its recent history.  The 2003 study recommended three options for the union. The preferred option called for tearing down the existing building and constructing a new building on the same site.  The study saw the need to wrap the building around the parking garage for more aesthetic appeal, bring the High Street entrance down to street level, as well as include a performance theater to host campus events ranging in size from 800-1200.

The plan also called for larger ballrooms, a two-story Multicultural Center, and the addition of satellite student services of Financial Aid, Transportation and Parking, and the Registrar’s Office.  Moody Nolan Inc. led the feasibility study efforts in partnership with Brailsford and Dunlavey.
