Want to Get Involved with the yearbook? The Makio is an amazing organization to get involved with and we're always looking for dedicated people to get involved with us. It is both a student organization, but it is also a business. The Makio is entirely ran by students, with the intent to sell and produce a book that people will buy, helping each student carry on their memories of Ohio State. It is a great way to get to know many people while getting real world experience in photography, writing, graphic design, layout design, marketing and business. - Production--Designs and Produces the book - Photography--Takes all photos for the book - Copy--Writes short articles for each spread - Marketing--Finds creative ways to market the book across campus and spreads the word about Makio on campus How It WorksThe production, photography and marketing staffs each have weekly meetings to update each other and assign new materials. Copy meets every 2-3 weeks, but can be done by email. Not Just a BusinessWhile, the staff does take Makio very seriously it is not all we do. We also try to get the whole staff together for a meeting or outing. The Makio is a group of friends. Our Office Has RelocatedThe Makio Yearbook Staff has relocated its office to Ohio Stadium in January of 2007. Please note due to this move, our address has changed. |
