| How to Join: For MenFraternity Recruitment(For Interfraternity Council Fraternities)To register online, please go to Online IFC Recruitment Form. If you are a transfer student without a lastname.#/OSU ID, please contact Sharrell Hassell-Goodman (shassell@studentlife.osu.edu), Coordinator of Greek Life. Fraternities recruit members 365 days a year. Informal recruitment events are held by individual chapters, typically at their chapter facility or on campus. All recruitment events for fraternities are required to be alcohol free. Interfraternity Council (IFC) fraternities can invite first year students to join their organization in January. Once students have earned a 2.25 GPA and 12 college/university credit hours (EM/Transfer credits from high school do not apply) they are eligible to receive a membership invitation from any of our University-recognized fraternities. If you are a first year student, we encourage you to attend events during fall quarter. Although you cannot accept an invitation to join, this period allows you the opportunity to take a look at a couple of fraternities to make sure you make an informed decision once you have met requirements. Please visit the Greek Events calendar for information about fraternity recruitment events. Please feel free to contact Sharrell Hassell-Goodman (shassell@studentlife.osu.edu), Coordinator of Greek Life, with any further questions regarding the recruitment/intake process. For 2007-2008, IFC Fraternities? Bid Day will take place Friday, Jan. 11th. Fraternity Intake(For traditionally African-American and Multicultural Fraternities)Any man interested in joining a historically African American fraternity at Ohio State is expected to participate in the intake process. Most multicultural fraternities also recruit membership through a similar process. Each organization conducts membership intake according to their national and local initiatives. However, these standards vary for each organization and are held and times determined by each organization. It is still required that all potential new members must have earned a 2.25 GPA and 12 college/university credit hours (EM/Transfer credits from high school do not apply to receive a membership invitation from any of our University-recognized historically African American or multicultural fraternities. Please visit the Greek Events calendar for information about informal fraternity intake events. Please contact Sharrell Hassell-Goodman (shassell@studentlife.osu.edu), Coordinator of Greek Life, with any further questions regarding the recruitment/intake process.
