Phi Kappa Psi Earns National Distinction Award
This past June, current President Alex Yablonsky and New Member Educator Justin Von Bargen, of Phi Kappa Psi, Ohio Delta, traveled to Buffalo, New York for the Phi Kappa Psi Woodrow Wilson Leadership School. This intensive program consisted of three days of learning and seminars. At the close of the week, Phi Kappa Psi chapters from across the nation received awards based upon academics and chapter rankings from the previous school year. Phi Kappa Psi, Ohio Delta received the Cum Laude award for their outstanding performance in academics by maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 3.23. In addition, Ohio Delta received the top honor to chapters by attaining the Accredited with Distinction Award. Only nine of the ninety-nine Phi Kappa Psi chapters countrywide qualified to achieve this honor by fulfilling all twelve qualifications which included leadership, service, scholarship, ritual, recruitment, financial management, alumni relations, and risk management. This award could not be possible without the tremendous leadership provided by past President Steven Sapp, the Phi Kappa Psi Executive Board, and all members both Undergrad and Alumni. Steve, with minor help from current vice president Michael Wireko and myself, worked tirelessly in professionally submitting the needed documents and materials to our national office. Once again this award is a reflection of triumph that could not be possible without the efforts of all our members. eMail: yablonsky.6@osu.edu |
