Pay It Forward - formerly the ServeCorps, Pay It Forward is a service cohort of 30 student leaders who work closely with the Center of Student Leadership and Service to implement service-related events and programs throughout the year. Pay It Forward instills a ilfe-long passion in Ohio State students for "paying it forward." This dedicated group of students enriches others' knowledge of universal needs, helps them personally connect to social issues, and provies them with the opportunity to serve their community. The applications for the 2013-2014 Pay It Forward Committee are closed. The programs listed below are planned by Pay It Forward.

Access88 - Complementing Ohio State's land grant mission, volunteers travel to the 88 counties of Ohio to promote a message of access to higher education to elementary and junior high school students.

Red Party / World AIDS Day - Celebrating awareness and advocacy, this annual event features local speakers, campus resources, and student performers.

Battle Against Hunger - An annual food drive competition with students at the University of Michigan during Beat Michigan Week.

Community Commitment - Volunteering doesn’t get much bigger than this! This annual day of service takes place during Welcome Week, leading up to the start of fall classes.

MLK Day of Service - Make it a day on, not a day off. This annual day of service honors the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Buck-I-Serv - Ohio State’s alternative break program, Buck-I-Serv trips are weeklong community service experiences held during winter, spring, and summer breaks. Buck-I-Serv Advisory Board is a committee of ten students who work together to plan Alternative Break trips. The mission of Buck-I-Serv is to provide students with a challenging and fun opportunity to learn through direct service experiences on a substance-free, week long alternative break trips taking place around the country working on various social issues. The selection process for Buck-I-SERV is complete for 2012-2013. If you are interested in applying for Spring of 2013 and Summer of 2013 Buck-I-SERV trips, please apply here.

Annual Conference on Leadership and Civic Engagement - This daylong conference, held in mid-February, is open to any student. Attend the keynote, workshop sessions, and network with your peers.

Board Immersion Program - In this service cohort program, students will be connected with local non-profit a boards to experience community engagement in a new arena.

BuckeyeThon - Entering its 10th year, BuckeyeThon Dance Marathon is a party with a purpose benefitting Nationwide Children’s Hospital.

Celebration of Community Service and Scholarship - This annual awards program recognizes students, student organizations, faculty/staff, and community partners who make a different in our community.

Mount Leadership Society - A scholars program for first- and second-year students, Mount Leadership Society focuses on blending leadership and service.

Rock The Block - Historically sponsored by Undergraduate Student Government, this annual day of service will not be held in 2012.
