Welcome to Event Services at the Ohio Union
The Ohio Union provides various services for different types of events such as meetings, concerts, lectures, conventions, conferences, dances, and banquets. All OSU community members are welcome to reserve equipment from the Union for events and registered student organizations can also reserve classroom space from our office. Space and equipment can be reserved in the following ways:
We Also Schedule Classroom Space!
Once classes have been scheduled in the system, we can book classroom spaces for registered student organizations. We are currently booking space for Winter Quarter. We began accepting requests for Winter Quarter on Monday, November 16th. Groups will be able to request Classroom space for Spring Quarter on Tuesday, March 2, 2010. Please note that to reserve space on the weekends, we need to receive your request by the preceding Thursday at 9:00am.

You can choose the room from the drop down box and click on the name to get room details. Use the Room Matrix to check on the availability of a specific room.
Please note that we can not schedule for the following buildings: Drinko, Hughes, Postle, Newton, Sullivant, Shoenbaum, Weigel or many of the college of Medicine buildings.
Please be aware that free classroom space is only available to ACTIVE registered student organizations. For more information about student organizations, click here
OUTDOOR SPACE
If you are a student organization wishing to schedule outdoor space such as Browning Amphitheatre, the Main Oval, the South Oval or Wexner Plaza, you must use BEN (Buckeye Event Network) form at: www.ben.osu.edu. If you are not a student group and need outdoor space, contact the Office of Scheduling or Click here to use their online request form. Please review the Outdoor Rules before submitting an outdoor event request.
Event Facility Packet & Events to Go
The Ohio Union has compiled a packet (see link above) of information about facilities on and around campus that can host events while our new facility is under construction.
The Ohio Union's Events to Go service will be phased out beginning Winter Quarter 2010. We will not be taking new reservations for equipment rentals. The creation of Events to Go was offered as a temporary service during the Ohio Union construction. Now that the building is near completeion, the Ohio Union has focused its attention on providing event space and services in the new facility.
Event Staff
Every event is very important to us and we strive to make each one outstanding. To achieve this goal, our knowledgeable Event Planning Coordinators are available to assist you with planning your event. Our Event Production and Student Staff are available throughout the day and can be on hand to address all of your last minute needs.
Furnishings
We can supply your event with any type of furniture you may require, including round, rectangular and serpentine tables, chairs, staging, and stanchions. In addition, linens and pipe & drape can be provided for your event.
Audio-Visual
Our audio-visual equipment includes TV's, VCRs, overhead projectors, screens, LCD projectors, portable sound systems, wired and wireless microphones, podiums, CD players, DVD players, flipcharts, and easels. We also have student technicians to take care of your audio-visual equipment needs prior to, and during your event.
Food Safety Guidelines
If you are planning to have food at your event you must review the Food Safety Guidelines. Please contact your event coordinator if you need more information or have questions about the guidelines.
