Battle Against Hunger Kick Off Party

Beat Michigan Week and the SERV team are partnering in the Beat Michigan Week Battle Against Hunger. We are competing with students at the University of Michigan to see who can donate the most nonperishable food items (to be determined by weight). We will have drop-off points at the Ohio Union, RPAC, Fresh Express, North Commons, Kennedy Commons, Off Campus Student Services, and most residence halls. All donated goods from here at OSU will benefit the Mid-Ohio Food Bank.

Kickoff Event: Hungry Columbus. Friday November 13, 3:00 - 5:00 pm at Royer Student Activities Center.
This is the SERVTeam's New Project November event concerning hunger and homelessness awareness in Central Ohio. The event is meant to act as a kickoff event for the Battle Against Hunger. We are going to have food and refreshments at the event along with presentations given by:

Dr. Melgar-Quinonez from OSU's Department of Nutrition

Jim Henry, Senior Vice President of the Children's Hunger Alliance

Rachel Buccicone and a previously-homeless guest from the Columbus Coalition for the Homeless

Laurie Weltin from LifeCare Alliance, which deals with AIDS and Cancer support
