Carnatic Indian Classical Music Concert and Lecture Demonstration

As the name of our student organization indicates, the mission of SPICMACAY is to further the prevalence of Indian Classical music and culture amongst our peers at The Ohio State University. We are thrilled to be bringing N. Ravikiran (who will play the chitravina, a string instrument)accompanied by Rohan Krishnamurthy on mrudangam (a percussion instrument). Our Carnatic Indian Classical Music Concert and Lecture Demonstration will be a diverse educational experience during which attendees learn of various Indian classical instruments, the theory behind the artists' music, and receive a cultural experience that is hard to find elsewhere. This event will be open to all OSU students, staff, and community members, free of charge. This event will take place at Hitchcock Hall 131.
