The Trouble With Black Boys: Strengthing Our Brothers

November 4, 2009 (7:00 PM)

There appears to be a very strong communication barrier in many intimate relationships between male and female. Problems and lack of communication can often lead to distress, anger, frustration and even worse violence. The program will address problems arising as a result of ineffective communication such as domestic violence, touch on gender differences in terms of communication style and offer talking and listening skills. This program will consist of two parts. The first part being a professional speaker discussing the issue and providing attendees with skills to allow for better communication between the sexes and the second portion will be an interactive open discussion between the professional speaker and attendees of the program. This program will be open to everyone due to the fact that lack of communication in relationships is a problem for people of every race, ethnicity, age, and sex. This program will take place at the Hale Center
