9:30am-4:00pm Chalk the Walk
As graduating students complete their last final exams during finals week, they will be invited to Chalk the Walk. Between 9:30am and 4:00pm Monday, June 2 through Thursday, June 5, graduating students can stop by a Commencement Week booth on the Oval and get a piece of sidewalk chalk they can use to put their autographs on the Long Walk.

3:00-5:00pm Things You Never Got to See Tour
Whenever you'd like, you can use the downloadable map above or the info at this site to explore some of the hidden gems on campus.
From 3pm to 5pm on Thursday and Friday, you can get a special look at the steam tunnels under campus (come to the ground floor of the RPAC), the OSU Marching Band Center, the OSU Planetarium at Smith Laboratory, the basketball locker rooms at the Schottenstein Center, and the rooftop greenhouse atop the 12th Ave. Parking Garage. Just stop by any of these locations during these limited hours. No tickets or RSVP are necessary.

1:00pm Commencement Rehearsal at French Field House/Ohio Stadium
Graduates are asked to assemble promptly at 1:00pm at French Field House. Visit the Commencement website for more information about the rehearsal.
2:00-5:00pm Time and Change Tailgate on the RPAC Plaza (Rain Site: RPAC Tom W. Davis Gymnasium)
Immediately following the Commencement Rehearsal at the Ohio Stadium, enjoy food, music, unique photo opportunities, interactive games, and more as you kick back with the Class of 2008. Chat with members of various OSU Alumni Clubs and Societies, pick up a special Class of 2008 promotional item, and enjoy a few great surprises!

4:00pm African-American Farewell Celebration at Independence Hall Room 100
The National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC), The Ohio Union, Coca-Cola, and the Frank W. Hale, Jr. Black Cultural Center will sponsor the 16th Annual African American Farewell Celebration to acknowledge and to celebrate those students graduating between Fall 2007 and Summer 2008. The event will include a personalized graduation ceremony, keynote speaker, music, and a dinner reception. Family and friends are welcome to attend at no cost. The “Alley” in the South Campus Gateway will feature live music as part of a Commencement Hop, which will include special discounts at the various Gateway stores and restaurants. 7:30pm-8:30pm International Student Graduation Reception at Oxley Hall Courtyards & Mack Dining Hall

8:00pm Wind Symphony Commencement Eve Pops Concert at Weigel Hall Auditorium

9:00pm Commencement Eve Candlelight Ceremony on the Oval
All graduating students are asked to congregate on the Oval for a very special candlelight ceremony. Hear from some of your favorite campus celebrities, including E. Gordon Gee, Archie Griffin, and a student chosen through a competitive process to give a Commencement Eve address. Enjoy a photographic retrospective of the last four years, pick up your official class pin, and share one of the most powerful experiences with your fellow Buckeyes – a candlelight rendition of Carmen Ohio on the Oval. Families are encouraged to attend with their graduates!
